The New Modern Warfare II is the Best Call of Duty Yet

By Real Militia

The new Modern Warfare II is arguably the best call of duty yet, but the bugs in the game are causing players to raise concern. According to a Call of Duty fan page #MWII is so bugged that someone got thrown into Warzone 2.0 which isn't playable until November 16th. I've been playing on PC and experienced multiple bugs and crashes to the desktop. I'm confident that updates will fix these problems and we shouldn't be too worried about our purchase of the game. Some Youtube videos are saying to revert to earlier drivers for Nvidia video cards to stop the game from crashing. The other thing is there are so many people online playing the new game it could be overloading the servers. Either way I'm excited about the new game and confident the bugs will be fixed with future updates.

The Good

The best thing about the new Modern Warfare II is definitely the graphics. They did an amazing job making everything look more realistic than ever before. From the way the guns look and feel, to explosions, and even little details like smoke rolling off a building after an explosion—it's all incredibly well done. Another great thing about this game is the multiplayer. It's really fast paced and there's a ton of action happening at all times, which makes it really exciting to play. And lastly, I love how they've brought back some iconic locations from previous Call of Duty games, like Scrapyard from MW2 and Rust from CoD4. It's definitely a nostalgia trip for longtime fans of the series.

The Bad

Unfortunately, as good as this game is, it's not without its flaws. The biggest issue I've been having is that it keeps crashing—and not just for me, but for a lot of people according to forums I've been reading. This seems to be primarily an issue with Nvidia video cards, but hopefully there will be an update soon that fixes this problem. Additionally, there have been reports of people getting stuck in loading screens or getting booted out of multiplayer matches mid-game, which is obviously incredibly frustrating. Again, these are just early growing pains and I'm confident that Infinity Ward will address these issues in future updates.

Overall, I think the new Modern Warfare II is a great game and definitely worth picking up—bugs notwithstanding. Yes, there have been some reports of crashes and other glitches, but that's to be expected with any big release like this. Infinity Ward has already said they're aware of these issues and working on fixes, so I wouldn't worry too much about them if you're thinking about buying the game. And even if you do run into some problems, just remember that you can always revert to an earlier driver for your Nvidia card until an update comes out! So go ahead and enjoy one of the best Call of Dutys yet!
